Jimmy Cliff

Perhaps the greatest living Reggae Star, Jimmy Cliff was instrumental in introducing reggae to an international audience. Not only famous for his memorable music and energetic performances, the Jamaican-born legend is also renowned for his producing and acting skills (starring in the international hit movie The Harder They Come), and work on his own record label.

Above all though, Jimmy is primarily credited as being the man who popularised reggae throughout the western world.

He has had hits in countries all over the world; throughout Europe, Africa, The USA, Asia and Jamaica. This will be an unmissable show as it is his only UK tour date and will include tracks such as: Hurricane Hattie, Wonderful World, Beautiful People, I Can See Clearly Now, You Can Get It If You Really Want and Vietnam.

This gig is being presented at the brand new Opera House in Bournemouth, Dorset, winner of the 2007 BEDA Live Entertainment Venue of The Year Award. The 1800-capacity venue is a stunning fusion of victorian splendour and modern, state-of-the-art facilities.
